Considering that AMD sold out its Imageon product to Qualcomm and Qualcomm is making a killing with their snapdragon product, I don't know if AMD can make a low powered gpu for ARM SOC's because of IP reasons.

Yes, AMD has a bit of a history of feigning disinterest when in fact they are working on something and just don't want to say anything till they are ready to announce the product.

What we do know is they are very interested in getting into the mobile market, it's just a question of how and when.

Yes, you can say that. :)

BTW I would love to see an AMD ARM + Radeon SoC ala Tegra, but I don't expect it in the near future.

Regards

Sure the official line under AMD branding might be to say that. But on the other hand, the ex-CEO of AMD is now CEO of AMD spin-off GlobalFoundries, which is the Foundry for AMD and which is also one of the leading ARM Processor foundries for some of the major ARM chip makers. So it can perhaps be said that AMD is investing heavily in ARM already, many billions of dollars already, they are just not yet doing it and branding it directly. Don't you agree?

They have denied several times that they will build an ARM processor. But besides building an ARM processor, there is plenty of space of collaboration between AMD and ARM.

I'm thinking at GPU's and GPGPU's, with both interested in expand OpenCL usage (that will minimize the raw power advantage of Intel processors, because actuals processors they are way faster than we need, with only exception at several processes like video transcoding, etc. ... and this tasks could be perfectly done by OpenCL in a GPU).
