Google@Home is genius, it basically means Android is going to be in 100 Billion devices by 2020, see ARM President Tudor Brown's keynote (scroll forward to about 1 minute)
http://armdevices.net/2010/11/18/tudor-brown-president-of-arm-keynote-at-arm-techcon-2010/
ARM calls this "The Internet of Things".

Adding Google @ Home to a device costs about $3 including the cheapest wireless networking system, watch this video about how ARM Cortex-M0 works: http://armdevices.net/2011/03/07/nuvoton-numicro-cortex-m0-mcu-explained/

Basically, 100% of devices will add the Google @ Home functionality because it's so cheap to add and provides for great differentiation and consumers will want to upgrade their whole equipment just to get that functionality.

Google TV will completely change TV, people watch 5 hours of TV per day in average, this will quickly become Google's biggest source of revenues. It will improve our democracy also as this enables the decentralization of media and the end of corporate special interests owning the political discourse.

No open source means that we have to pray to the cyanogen gods for the next 6 months. Google@Home is going to crash and burn because their compatible device is going to cost an arm and an leg, same goes for the google compatible devices like the exercise bike powered by google. Google TV is going to be vaporware 2.0 maybe at least until they release the source code later this year. Google Music is just another me too cloud based music service. Google I/O is a big disappointment so far.

Google answered my Android laptop question reffering to Asus Transformer saying that proves it's possible. But I am still waiting for them to answer on these 3 other questions, please vote for them in Google Moderator!

> "Does Google support Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich on CHEAP Android Tablets> all the $100-$300 ones using TI OMAP3/4, Rockchip, Telechips, NEC/Renesas, AmLogic,> Freescale, Marvell, Hummingbird etc? Please explain timeline of full open sourcing/support

Vote here now! http://goo.gl/mod/fIP5

If not, then they should let us know when can you announce other hardwarepartners than the Tegra2 based for Honeycomb 3.1 and how soon can allthe other companies in the industry get access to Honeycomb. At tradeshows, I film 375 Android tablets, most of them currently do not haveaccess to Honeycomb.I also have this question:

> Does Ice Cream Sandwich mean all Android devices become Google TV devices for free
> when using the HDMI output? Are any of these Google TV type UI available in Honeycomb 3.1
> before Ice Cream Sandwich is released? Any plan to add HDMI-input/overlays?

Vote here now! http://goo.gl/mod/MmvQ

> Are the Google Marketplace rules now going to be removed for good for cheap Android tablets?
> Can a cheap tablet without a compass, without a back-facing camera, without 3G get legal
> access to Google Marketplace and Google Apps without asking Google?

Vote here now! http://goo.gl/mod/kCFz

Apple bought Lala and destroyed it because they feel that type of service is threatening to their iTunes empire. I feel any new attempt to shake those Label monopoly on our culture is a positive thing. Although I agree it sucks if we can't quickly get all these Cloud Media services also over here in the rest of the world.

Right now, only the Americans in that Google I/O room have access to Music Beta, let's see perhaps Google does open a part of Google Music, such as the whole Cloud Music, Instant Remix playlist systems and Web UI and Android apps to the rest of the world.

Stop giving Google a pass all the time and say it as it is. Most media outlets that broke the store of Google music have reported that "Google is going ahead without licensing deals" Even if they got licenses, as Spotify has shown, it is easier to do this in Europe, than in the US. So giving European users the finger is due to some other reason
