While I can see that it is possible for ARM enabled google TV can replace the current array of Netflix enabled Media devices hardware-wise, google TV probably won't be replacing the traditional cable tv box anytime soon because google does not have good relations with the US and european media companies. It is the same reason why IPTV is not popular in the US.

I'm interested in a box but there are some isues:

* Hardware spec - 1080p, apps...

* Software - update to 2.3...

* Android Market... - flexible and interseting req to pay Google?

* Price: Apple does it for $99... sub $100 it is...

I think the government should intervene when efficiency of productivity is held back by established businesses. The whole idea of an economy is to benefit everybody, and not just a few elite people in the Good Old Boy's club. It's not like they don't benefit as well, they just don't get to benefit at everyone else's expense. This goes for movies, music, , and telephone as well. I don't like bittorenting illegal stuff, and prefer to just go without, but I wish those thief's ( good old boys) would not demoralize is peons and make it so doubly tempting to both stick it to them and get our share of what everyone else is smoking.

I am not so sure that Adobe wants to offend the content providers that use their software. But seeing the example the rich set for the rest of us, I will not be surprised oif bittorrent isn't huge on Android. What a bunch of hypocrites.
