BTW you probably missed it being in Shenzhen, but goggle actually started 'live streaming' and chat service for select contributor's/users, you meet their description for sure
http://youtube-global.blogspot.com/2011/04/youtube-is-going-live.html

http://www.youtube.com/live

but that limited Wifi and upload access restriction would put a block on that idea mostly for now...

if your near the University on that map i posted elsewhere you might also see if the residential halls guy's can give you faster upload if its still a problem, although i assume the Archos offices should be well fitted with fast cable/fibre upload for today's adventure...

Sounds like a good idea. The company would be based on Shenzhen and ship out from Shenzhen using DHL or UPS, so there would be no warranty, no FCC/EC approval or anything like that, and payments made by non refundable bank transfer. Something like that. Would someone like to invest in this? Cause then that export company could be exporting all the cool stuff that I film at near bulk price. For example sell the Mediatek phones below $150, and the Cortex-A9 tablets below $120...

On newupower.com it says that is has only GSM and as Richard wrote, it seems to have only resensitive touch. They sell it for 129$. What I find really interesting is that you can use it as webcam via usb.

Well, I think there are two versions... One with capacitive and the other resistive. It's quite typical for manufacturers in China to release two versions. The resistive to test the demand, and the capacitive to meet the demand (if favourable).

The specs are quite messy for this product. It runs a 600Mhz processor for sure. Has two cameras (some say both are 1.3 MP)... but from the video the battery looks huge!

I did some searches on Google and results said it was actually "resistant" meaning resistive I assume. Kinda weird.

I wish we could get some cheap prepaid android phones like this in the United States that are not locked down. Would kill for an Huawei Ascend 2 GSM version.
