50 hours? Now we're getting somewhere. Still can't touch the TRS-80 Model 100, which had a battery life more like a phone (well, not these modern gigahertz phones).

One of the cruelest jokes of the industry has been the passing off anything with a battery life of less than 24 hours as a "portable computing device".

What do you mean about the capacitive saying contrary thing?

Of what I have seen on Galaxy S, the quality is awesome indoors, saturated colors are just cool, but it's just as glossy and reflective of light as any other bright LCD back lit screen. Probably better than old AMOLED though, as they say.

"capacitive Pixel Qi LCD screens" This is breaking news. I was unaware that Pixel Qi was now producing capacitive passive digitizers, although I'm quite sure I know what you meant despite saying the contrary.

From what I understand about Samsung's "Super" take on AMOLED, the jury is still out about how outdoor friendly this really is. Of course, any improvement is a much needed improvement, but the industry is still a long ways away from an an actual affordable solution to the display panel problem (the rugged and industrial companies has in fact solved this problem, at great cost to the purchaser).
